Competition

Hereford Sixth Form College caters for all levels, interests and abilities of sporting compeitions. The College provides opprtunities to participate in Intra-College Competition, where students from Hereford Sixth Form college compete against each other. Alternatively students can partake in inter-College competitions, representing Hereford Sixth Form College by competing against other colleges, in either team or individual sports.

Intra-College Competition: There are multiple intra-College competitions organised throughout the year. Please keep checking back here for a list of competition and results and the media section for photographs, videos and reports. Already planned is the HSFC 5-a-side football league which runs every Friday on the new astro-pitch. This league will be organised & delivered by students involved in the Leadership Academy.

Inter-College Competition: On Wednesdays students can partake in competitive team games, including basketball and hockey. Team trials (with first, second and even third teams) are open to all students and we provide a full fixture list. We also actively encourage you to attend representative trials; many of our students gain county caps and perform well at national level.

Sports Academies: Hereford Sixth Form College is extremely proud of its academies which represent the College throughout the country. All four academies (rugby, netball, football  and basketball) compete in the British Colleges Leagues with regular fixtures, tournaments and training dates.

Students at Hereford Sixth Form College have also entered BCS competitions in tennis, badminton, swimming, cross country and trampolining. All of these sports were present at the BCS National Championships in 09-10 & HSFC had students representing the West Midlands in all of them.

Through British Colleges Sports affiliation we have had students progress to representing British Colleges and competing at the prestigious National Championships which over 2000 students participate in.
